Borders & Infrastructure
A brand new show within IFSEC International
2017, Borders & Infrastructure directly focuses
on products, solutions and learning for large
scale security issues such as border control,
critical national infrastructure, transport and
key strategic assets. Attrections within this
show will be:
Attack Testing Zone - The BRE Global/LPCB
Attack Testing Zone will host expert technicians
from the LPCB will demonstrate real time
examples of the robust testing they execute on
perimeter fencing, security doors, shutters and
covers. Non-approved products will be tested in
the demonstrations against LPCB approved
alternatives which have reached a minimum of
LPS 1175 SR-3 levels of compliance so visitors
will be able to see the effectiveness of these
industry-defining products.
Drone Zone - Not only are UAV products very
engaging in a live environment, but they are
extremely topical at the present time. The Drone
Zone will feature live demonstrations, the latest
in innovations from UAV manufacturers, and
insight on how to both utilise drones in your
security strategy and protect against them.
The Smart Zone
The Internet of Things (IoT) is becoming an ever
important element of various technology
solutions for the home and commercial
buildings. The ability to connect, communicate
with, and remotely manage a vast number of
networked, automated devices via the internet
is now inescapable, from the factory floor to the
hospital operating room to the residential
basement.
Following on from last year’s ‘Home
Automation House’, a fully functioning smart
home in the middle of the exhibition floor, you
can expect an even more heightened focus on
all things ‘smart’ in 2017. New for 2017, the
Smart Zone will feature across all three dates of
the show. This new area has been created to
cover not only home automation devices but
also the wider IoT, including smart commercial
buildings, smart offices, and connected security
systems.
Firex International
One of a number of events running alongside
IFSEC is Firex International, where visitors can
see over 500 fire safety products and solutions,
meet and network with industry experts by prebooking
meetings with suppliers, and get
hands-on experience of potential products or
solutions. Firex also has four seminar streams
focusing on providing case studies, seminars
and workshops on best practice and the state of
the industry.
