Cocaine use at Cannes was nothing to sniff at this year – with
sources
revealing celebs were on a major, um, blowout!
“The drug’s use has got out of control,” an insider tells the UK’s
Sun newspaper. “Everybody is doing it and the police are finding
it extremely hard to manage. It’s a nightmare.”
According to reports, the city’s police have been distracted by
more pressing problems like terrorism and security breaches, so
other forms of crime – like drug use – are going unenforced.
“It is more popular than ever,” a VIP concierge at a luxe Cannes
hotel told the newspaper, which detected cocaine residue in bathrooms
at several five-star hotels during the festival.
“Dealers make over £25,000 [$44,000] a night and are often sold
out by day four. So if you want drugs you have to get in quick.”

adult life skills. In fact, I’m hopeless.

taking baby steps towards being a

Actually, I didn’t just buy it, I completely
binged on it in the recent Click Frenzy
bought sheets and towels (where they
all came from before, I have no idea!),
but I’m now fully obsessed.
Adult thing #2 – cooking dinner.
I ate in every night this week and, yep,
you can call me the new Jamie Oliver.
Adult thing #3 – while all the
NW-ettes headed out to party on
Friday night, I went to a literary “talk”
at the Sydney Writers’ Festival. Yep,
a “talk”. A proper adult “talk”.

there was an outpouring of
support from locals, with

and even opening up their
homes to those
affected.
Fans, families and the
entire world were left
reeling following
the deadly explosion
at Ariana Grande’s
concert in Manchester last week.
In what’s since been confirmed
as a horrific act of terrorism, a
bomb was detonated in the foyer
of the packed Manchester Arena
on May 22, with the death toll
swelling to 22 by the time
we went to print.
Another 119 people
were injured – at least
20 of them critically.
And tragically,
many of the victims
were children.
Ariana, 23, had
just wrapped up her
concert in front of
21,000 fans when
the horror unfolded.
“It didn’t hit that
this was a bomb until
we were evacuated
and they told us
exactly what was
going on,” her
drummer Aaron
Spears recalled.
But amid the horror,
there were tales of
bravery and kindness.
Ariana’s quick-thinking mum
Joan, who was still sitting in the
front row when the bomb went
off, reportedly joined members
of Ariana’s security team to
shepherd fans backstage and
away from the chaos.
Of course, more heroic stories
emerged in the days to follow,
like that of local woman Paula
Robinson, 48, who’d just hopped
off a train when she heard
the blasts and rushed to help
kids caught up in the confusion.
Gathering them together at a
nearby Holiday Inn, Paula shared
her number on social media for
worried parents to contact her.
And Ariana? Sources say the
singer has been “inconsolable”
since the tragedy, suspending
her Dangerous Woman World
Tour indefinitely.
“Broken. From the bottom of
my heart, I am so so sorry. I don’t
have words,” she tweeted in the
hours after the attacks.
In a selfless gesture to victims
and their loved ones, Ariana’s
even said to have offered to
pay for the funerals.
Her focus “is the victims and
how she can help”, a source tells
US People. “This isn’t about her
– it’s about the victims.”

“You can touch them,” she
tells us, looking down at her
newly boosted bust.
Just a week earlier, the
surgically enhanced star once
again went under the knife, taking
her A-cups to a C – and she’s
clearly pleased with the results...
“I have the best boobs I’ve
ever seen,” she says, giggling as
she twirls in front of the camera
and topples over. “I’m still
getting used to them – it’s really
hard to balance with these
things, you know?”
Of course, since landing in
the spotlight, the Bachelor
bombshell’s been criticised
relentlessly for having plastic
surgeons on speed-dial – ticking
off a nose job, breast implants
and vampire facials, among other
(sometimes painful!) procedures.
But despite any hate she might
receive, Keira, who turned 31 this
week, says she’s finally come to
terms with her looks and is done
with plastic surgery... “for now”.
After all, it’s about time she
started work on all those TV
shows she has up her sleeve.
That’s right, you haven’t seen
the last of this bombshell...
Keira, when we checked in
following your nose job in
December, you told us a boob
job was ages away! Yeah, since
I was younger, I’ve always wanted
boobs, but my nan was like,
“No – when I was 30, I suddenly
got boobs!” So I was like, “OK, I’m
gonna wait until I’m 30.” Now I’m
31. Time was working against me!

[at my breasts
after surgery],
I squealed,
“Wow, I have
boobies!”’
says Keira
And now look at you! How’d
it all happen so fast? I went to
a few different [surgeons] and
initially I thought I wanted the
teardrop shape – I was really
adamant about it. I even had
[the operation] booked in before
I went on I’m A Celebrity... Get Me
Out Of Here! [in February] and had
to cancel the appointment. When
I got out, a friend recommended
Dr Scott Turner and when I met
him, he told me teardrops weren’t
going to suit me, because I have
broad shoulders and they
wouldn’t fill in the space.
You’ve been under the knife
before, but how did you feel
going into this surgery?
I was just tired because I had to get
up early! [Laughs] No, look, I was
a little bit nervous, because with
my nose job, I really, really, really
wanted to get it done. With my
boobs, though, I was like, “Am I just
taking it too far?” But then every
time I looked down, I was like,
“I have no boobs!” and it kinda
made me a little bit depressed.
It was a really big decision for
me, but then I had to think back...
I’ve wanted this for 10 years.
So was it love at first sight?
Well, when I first came out, I was
a bit like, “Oh my God!” ’cos they
were really, really swollen. I’ve
seen some bad boob jobs before,
so I was really, really scared about
the end result, but after day three,
they started settling down.
And you’ve spent how many
hours perving on yourself in
the mirror? I’m not going to lie
– I’ve looked in the mirror a few
times since I’ve got them... I had
to throw out all my bras and now
I feel a little bit more feminine.
Obviously, when I had short hair,
too, I felt more like a boy, but
now I feel like a woman!
We can’t believe how active you
are at day seven! Most people
are bed-ridden for weeks after
surgery... I look after myself
and I’ve just got good genes,
I think – I mean, with a little bit
of enhancing. [Laughs] But I do
recover really fast. There was, like,
a sharp pain throughout my body
when I got up really fast, which
was the nerves. Because you have
a foreign object in your body, your
body’s like, “What the hell?!” and
kind of reacts, so if I was making

And you’ve had a bit of
a hair transformation, too...
Ugh, the reason I had short
hair was because it was burnt
off by a hairdresser a couple of
years ago. I was trying to gro
back! I went to a hairdresser in
Brisbane and basically I had
blisters all over my head – the
next time I had my hair dyed, all
my hair snapped off because of
how much they damaged it.
Well, you look smokin’! How are
you feeling now after all your
little nips and tucks? I think,
although people can look at
me like [I’m superficial], these
changes make me happy and they
make me feel like me. It’s not
all about looks, but if you can
enhance something or improve
something, I’m all about it.

an LA prostitute. Now being sold
by a frontman, who claims to have
hacked into it, the iPad allegedly
contains lots of “very personal

“I wouldn’t be shocked
if someone gets the idea to

Kardashians by

“She kept phoning up
about the taxi situation, and
I remember saying to her,
‘This isn’t the Brit Awards, it’s
a wedding!’” he recalls.

Planners are also responsible
for safeguarding against
wedding crashers.
“It depends on who [the
celeb] is obviously,” says Mark.
“If there is a magazine deal,
there’s much more security.
“At James Corden’s, we had a
gatecrasher... There’s actually
a picture of me telling James
about [it]. He’s just playing
football with all his groomsmen,
about to get ready, and I’m in
my suit and tie on the phone
screaming at security.”

salt and pepper. Cut lemon
into 6 wedges.
• Place chicken breasts in the
baking dish, skin side down.
Roast for 10 minutes. Turn
and baste with pan juices. Add
lemon wedges and sprinkle
chicken with zest mixture.
Roast for a further 15 minutes
until chicken is cooked through.

Oh, Mariah Carey... Where would
the world be without you and your
diva-ish ways?!
Taking time out of her oh-so-busy
schedule, Mimi blessed the cast of
hip-hop music drama Empire with a
cameo role as superstar Kitty – who
struts in to collaborate with Jamal
(Jussie Smolett), a character still
suffering from PTSD following last
season’s shooting. And in true Mimi
form, production of this week’s
episode was plagued by agonising
requests and long phone calls about
every tiny detail. But you never say
no to Mariah, as executive producer
Sanaa Hamri reveals.
“With Mariah, she always has
input, because she’s been around for
a while and she really knows what
she’s doing,” says Sanaa, who cut her
teeth directing music videos for Mimi
in the ’90s. “[She] and I spent hours
on the phone talking about the nail
colour [and] what we’re going to do
with her ensemble.”
In the end, Sanaa says they settled
on a “slight ’60s vibe”, but it was all
worth it to get Kween Mimi on set.
“We’re lucky Mariah even had the
availability to spend the day with
us,” says Sanaa. “She’s amazing
on set – it’s like her domain. The
crew were like, ‘Oh my god,
Mariah is here today!’”
In fact, the crew got such
a buzz, this may not be the
last we see of Kitty!
“We’ve talked about
her coming back,”
reveals Sanaa. “But
she’s a very busy
lady – and it was
hard enough to
get that one day
with her.”

Well,
It’s been nine years since iconic
action-horror franchise The Mummy
last hit the big screen, but we’ll
forgive the wait now that it’s been
rebooted with Tom Cruise leading
the cast (whatever happened to
Brendan Fraser anyway?!).
And a lot has changed...
MUMMY IS A LADY
It’s the first time a female has played
the creature in 85 years of mummy
movies, which meant there was
plenty of pressure on actress
Sofia Boutella to get it right.
“I’m an Egyptian princess who is
promised to become pharaoh, and
is deceived by her father,” says
Sofia. “He removes that promise
from her because he has... a son.
Having nothing to lose, she
summons the wrong god in order
to get... that power that will give
her what she was promised.”

A bisexual superhero for
the big screen? Yep, for
the first time in history,
Wonder Woman has her
own film – and it’s epic!

Gal’s all about
Chris...
...but she
wouldn’t say
no to Halle!

Only a true Wonder
Woman could slide
into that iconic
costume and bring
the classic comicbook
character to life while five
months pregnant.
But then, Gal Gadot has
always been a Wonder Woman
– and a flick through her CV
confirms it. Fashion model,
pageant queen, soldier in the
Israeli Defense Force... It’s almost
as if she was born for this role!
And the 32-year-old was so
determined to give the superhero
her own epic feature film – having
made her debut in the role in last
year’s Batman v Superman: Dawn
Of Justice – that a burgeoning
baby bump was never going
to get in the way.
So how did she work
around it? Well, it turns out the
Israeli stunner had shot most of
the flick before her pregnancy,
so for the reshoots, a triangle of
green material was added to the
front of her costume that allowed
the special effects team to
digitally alter her tum with
green-screen technology.
“On close-up, I looked very
much like Wonder Woman,” Gal
says. “On wide shots, I looked
very funny, like Wonder Woman
pregnant with Kermit The Frog!”
Not even body bullies were
going to stop her pulling on that
costume (even if it did take 20
minutes to get on!).
Yep, can you believe it?
After critics slammed her shape
when it was announced she
was taking on the role, before
film
g even started, Gal endured
a complete body overhaul –
putting on nearly eight kilos in
Gal Gadot
on becoming
muscle mass
thanks to a rigorous fighttraining
program.
“They said I was too
skinny and my boobs weree
too small,” Gal says of the
haters. “They said my
head was too big
and my body was like
a broomstick – I can
take anything.”
And it’s this sort of unwavering
strength that makes Gal perfect
for Wonder Woman, which also
happens to be the first time
the character’s been given her
own live-action cinema release.
Sure, we’ve seen her in other
male-dominated superhero
franchises, various cartoons and
the 1970s TV series starring
Lynda Carter, but we’ve never
seen Wonder Woman – aka Diana
Prince – quite like this.
As in previous versions, Diana
is an Amazon princess from the
female-only island paradise of
Themyscira, but this isn’t the
Wonder Woman of the old comic
strip or even the one we met in
Batman v Superman: Dawn Of
Justice. Nope, this origin story
takes us right back to World War I,
with Wonder Woman joining the
fight to save humanity.
“Her armour, the shield
and lasso are what you could
describe as defensive weapons as
opposed to offensive,” says
director Patty Jenkins.
“She’s not choosing to fight
for the thrill of battle. She’s
fighting because she believes
in something and she’s quick to
put down that sword when the
opportunity’s there.”

what you saw in last year’s flick,
says Gal, as this Wonder Woman
story explores the softer side
of Diana Prince.
“The character that I played in
BvS was more realistic and more
mature and more of a woman,”
reveals Gal.
“This one, this is the coming-of-
age of
Diana. It’s her story. She
starts as a very naïve girl – naïve,
positive, happy, seeking-forgirl.
But in BvS, she’s been
good
through a lot. She’s already
understood what the complexity
ofhuman beings is.”
And despite the many threads
woven
together to create this
Lisa Loven Kongsli,
Gal, Connie
Nielsen, and Robin
Wright are
#GirlPowerGoals in
Wonder Woman
blockbuster version, the crux
of it all is that Wonder Woman
is “costumed proof that women
can land a punch... for the
common good”, says producer
Deborah Snyder.
“That’s a part of her history.
Her mission to empower women
and people all over the world is
what makes her very relatable...
It would be a mistake not to
honour that legacy.”
It would also be a mistake not
to acknowledge the truth about
Wonder Woman now that her
story’s being delivered in an
era of female empowerment
– that despite shacking up with
Chris Pine’s character Steve
Trevor, Wonder Woman likes
a dip in the lady pond, too!
“Nobody at DC [Comics] has
ever said, ‘She’s gotta be
straight.’ They’ve never blinked
at this,” says DC writer Greg
Rucka. “It’s supposed to be
paradise. You’re supposed to
be able to live happily [on her
island home]. And part of what
an individual needs for that
happiness is to have a partner
– to have a fulfilling, romantic
and sexual relationship. And
the only options are women.”
Indeed, while we won’t see
any girl-on-girl love unfold on
screen, Gal says you can’t
ignore the obvious.
“In this movie, she doesn’t
experience any bisexual
relationships, but it’s not
about that,” she says.
“She’s a woman who loves
people for who they are – she
can be bisexual. She loves
people for their hearts.”
And if Gal could have her pick
of female love interests to cosy
up to in a future film?
“I saw her the other day –
Halle Berry. She’s so beautiful,”
Gal admits. “So, yeah,
I could do it with her.”

place at NASA’s Kennedy Space
Center in Florida.
Surprisingly, though,
despite her overflowing
portfolio, the model admits
to still getting nervous in
front of the cameras.

reveals she’s
created a professional alter
ego to help her deal.
“Have you ever seen me shoot
before? I’m, like... different,” she
tells the mag. “I wouldn’t say
