Another week, another twitter storm and
more accusations.
The President just can’t help himself and
being surrounded by nothing but “yes” people
means no one, NO ONE, can tell him to just
stop!
The week began with him pulling out of the
Paris Climate Change agreement saying it was
bad for America - even though the agreement
stated that each country would set their own
goals for green house gas emissions reduction.
He essentially turned over world leadership
on climate to China and the European Union.
So much for making American Great Again.
That is unless you want to go back to the days
of Calvin Coolidge and Herbert Hover.
He attacked Germany as being an unfair trade
partner, though they are our #1 trading partner
in Europe.
As the week progressed we saw the terror
attack in London. What was the President’s
first response? Not support for the English
people, not an offer of FBI assistance, not sorrow
for the six people who lost their lives or
their families. What was it? A twitter attack
on the Mayor of London, who happens to be
Muslim.
This coming week promises to be more chaos.
On Monday he will announce plans to privatize
the air traffic control system in the US
(deja vu Ronald Reagan?) and former FBI
Director James Comey testifies before the
Senate Intelligence Committee.
President Trump also reversed 8 years of
President Obama’s acknowledging Gay Pride
Month by being completely silent.
At sometime the President needs to understand
the country can’t take so much anxiety.
Locally, the city council members in Cathedral
City who voted in favor of Sanctuary City
status are being harassed and threatened by
residents via email, Facebook and next door.
Even to the point of possible recall. Sadly
some of this is being driven by members of the
LGBT community who should know better
about discrimination.
Legalization of Cannabis continues to move
forward in the valley. Cathedral City is opening.
Up it’s land north of I-10 for various uses
and Palm Desert is now looking at allowing
dispensaries, cultivation and manufacturing.
Is Indio next?
