The password for gaining entry into the
Members’ Area of the website has now
changed.
Provided you are a fully paid-up member
(£25 paid), you will have received an email
with the new password.
A few members have notified me that
the email has gone to their SPAM folders
and not into their main email folders and
therefore have not noticed it. Please check
your spam folders for the email. If you don’t
find the email anywhere, it could be that I
don’t have your correct email addresses or
that I don’t have your email address at all!
If this is the case, please email me at
treasurer@conwayowners.org.uk and I will
add and amend where necessary and then
send you the log-in details.
The password will not be posted onto
Facebook or anywhere else for obvious
reasons.

Sysonby Acres
13th - 17th April
We arrived on Thursday afternoon
to find that many members were
already set up, and so, given the option
of where we’d like to pitch we opted
for probably the more challenging one
directly behind a tree, because, you know,
why make it easy for ourselves? All I can
say is thank goodness for motor movers!
Many of the Club came to say hello as we
set up, which is the usual way of things
and several hot drinks were offered. When
we very first joined, this was one of the
reasons why we enjoyed camping with
the Club so much, everyone is so friendly
and if you need any help pitching up there
is always a steady supply of experienced
helpers at hand, and if you’re very lucky
they’ll even put your awning up for you!
Sysonby Acres has a lovely warm hall

available for the Club’s use so we didn’t
have to ferry our own chairs to and fro
for the evening frivolities, just our drinks
and nibbles. Thursday night saw us enjoy
a simple get together and social evening,
where it was lovely to catch up with old
friends and to meet some new people in a
lovely relaxed atmosphere.
Friday dawned and we opted to go out
exploring for the day and (having stocked
up on food and drink first) where we
found Melton Mowbray Country Park
nestled in what felt like the middle of a
housing estate. However, once parked
you couldn’t tell; we had a walk through
a wood and down to the lakes, and there
are several play areas and a small café
making it a very pleasant visit.
Friday night was Packington style
Bingo…you really have to be there to
appreciate the quirkiness of these nights
masterminded by Chris and co-hosted by
Paul. We played traditional bingo, where
Roy won the line, followed by stand-up
golf ball bingo (when your number is
called you throw your ball back into the
bucket and sit down, last man standing
wins) and finally playing card bingo
(similar format) with random spot prizes
and a cash prize for the winner. All great
fun and enjoyed by everyone, young or
old.
