Miscellaneous<br />
There are a few places in <strong>the</strong> Qur’\n where <strong>the</strong> normal rules do not<br />
apply. Ei<strong>the</strong>r a letter is silent, or <strong>the</strong>re is a slight difference in <strong>the</strong> way a<br />
letter is pronounced. We list <strong>the</strong>se here for <strong>the</strong> benefit of <strong>the</strong> reader,<br />
along with an explanation of <strong>the</strong> correct manner of pronunciation.<br />
In <strong>the</strong> Qur'an <strong>the</strong>re are places where Alif is written but not recited at all.<br />

Note: in ad-Dahr 76:4 will have its Alif omitted when read in<br />
continuity, however, when <strong>the</strong> word is stopped upon <strong>the</strong> reader has a<br />
