Jennifer Lopez is back keeping
the streets safe from bad guys
when Shades of Blue returns
When we left her in the cliffhanger season
two finale of Shades of Blue, Detective
Harlee Santos (Jennifer Lopez, pictured)
was on the brink of death following her
harrowing hostage ordeal at the hands
of Stahl (Warren Kole).
So it comes as a relief that when season
three of the popular crime drama returns
to Universal Channel [112] in 2018 our
heroine is fighting fit, as this first image
from the Brooklyn, New York set reveals.
Of course, Harlee wasn’t the only one
whose life was hanging by a thread, with
her partner Matt ‘Woz’ Wozniak shot at
point-blank range by desperate young
boy Adrian (Marquise Gary).
While little is known about the direction
next season will take, we can see Harlee
is back wielding a gun, bringing justice
to the mean city streets as part of the FBI’s
anti-corruption taskforce. But following
her terrifying near-death experience,
will we see a changed woman?
“[US network NBC] told us from the
beginning to push the limits,” Lopez, who
also has an executive producer role, says
of the hard-hitting series. “And we haven’t
shied away from it.”
