In April 2010 a BP deepwater drilling rig exploded,
killing 11 people and spuing crude oil into the Gulf of
Mexico for 87 days. This film is based on the disaster.
The oil rig is noted as one of the largest set pieces ever
built to faithfully represent the fiery chaos. It stars Mark
Wahlberg (pictured) and John Malkovich, and marks the
first time Kate Hudson worked with stepdad Kurt Russell.
