In 2007, Randy Schrupp parlayed his more than 25 years experience in the field of
worker’s compensation insurance into the Medicare insurance industry. Today, Schrupp
Senior Services, operated by Randy, his wife Mary and his son Todd, has successfully
enrolled nearly 800 senior clients in various Medicare plans.
Schrupp Senior Services makes the task of sorting through
the overwhelming number of solicitations from Medicare
providers and plans less daunting by helping Medicare
eligible adults understand and differentiate between the
options. As a broker, Schrupp represents numerous plans
and providers, allowing for an impartial comparison of the
benefits of one plan versus another in order to find the plan
that best suits the specific health and budget needs of each
client.
“I want my clients to understand what they chose and
why they chose it, but also to clearly understand what they
didn’t choose and why they didn’t choose it,” explained
Randy Schrupp, owner Randy.
Service after the sale also distinguishes Schrupp Senior Services from its competition.
No Medicare plan is perfect, and as clients receive care and claims are processed, they
often encounter misunderstandings and perplexing questions. The knowledgeable staff at
Schrupp Senior Services will step in and advocate on behalf of clients when they are not
able to secure a reasonable and timely solution on their own.
Committed to educating their clients, Schrupp publishes a quarterly newsletter highlighting
relevant Medicare issues and topics and hosts informative Medicare seminars at area
restaurants on a monthly basis.
Schrupp Senior Services
also provides Long-Term Care
planning and insurance as
well as assistance for senior
relocation.
Timeless furniture resale boutique
Classic furniture, home décor and collectibles deserve a repeat performance. Encore
Consignment Gallery is an upscale boutique specializing in gently used home furnishings
too timeless to be discarded.
Store owners Maureen Strobeck and Barb Lampe opened the gallery three years ago to
fill a niche in the furniture resale market
for West County.
“There’s been an attitude change
about resale. People realize there are
beautiful things out there, so why buy
new?” asked Strobeck.
The gallery caters to people looking
for a unique piece, a change in décor,
or those who are simply moving up
or scaling down. Treasures that were
once loved have an encore, bringing
happiness to a new home, cash to a
consignor and protection for the environment.
Consignors are provided with a safe, friendly and reliable location to reduce clutter while
earning extra money. With state-of-the-art systems to track and monitor consignment
items, and experts to help determine market value, it is an easy and profitable exchange.
Shoppers also are in for a treat during each visit to the Encore Consignment Gallery. The
staff is among the best in the furniture and home décor industry and eager to assist in the
selection of items that make a house a home.
The 10,000-square-foot showroom is constantly rearranged to display gorgeous new
arrivals every day. “It is bittersweet how quickly
things change around here,” Lampe said.
The professional services of Encore Consignment
Gallery are now available for the management
of private estate sales. In addition to handling
all of the sale details, the staff will take unsold
items back to the store and continue to market the
items for an extended period of time. Call for more
information about this valuable service.
Making home construction dreams come true
Theresa and Scott Beard
For Scott Beard, owner of Scott Allen Construction, home construction was yet another
way to help people. Having grown up on a farm, he is no stranger to hard work. Beard
enlisted in the U.S. Army during Operation Desert
Storm and reported to the Army’s 82nd Airborne
Division in the early 90s. He returned home and
found himself starting a homebuilding/remodeling
company and a consulting career.
“I actually love to create things. Day one, all you
have is a pile of materials. In a couple of weeks
you have built someone’s dream home. Super
gratifying,” Beard said.
Now a general contractor, Beard runs all the
facets on a jobsite, from personally managing
subcontractors to scheduling work for a smooth
project. The company tackles handyman jobs, fullscale
renovations and new construction.
“I became a GC to protect my clients’ best
interest,” Beard said. “I’m well-rounded in all the aspects of construction, so I can relate to
and orchestrate all the different facets of construction in all trades.”
Scott Allen Construction can build directly from a blueprint or create a computer draft to fit
clients’ specifications. They can assist clients in finding materials or choosing colors and
patterns. The company prioritizes quality to ensure that clients’ needs are met and the client
feels safe and protected in their investment.
Scott Allen Construction also coordinates with other suppliers so the customer is not charged
for design and consultation.
“We try and pass on our savings to the client,” Beard said.
