- about 4 miles with DOPs. We shall explore some<br />
of Islington's many and varied squares and other<br />
green spaces. The 18th century village of<br />
Islington was a hub of dairy farming, supplying<br />
much of London's milk. LUNCH: pub, café or<br />
picnic. Meet at East Croydon station 09.45.<br />

Thursday 24th <strong>August</strong>. Stratford and West Ham<br />
amble – 3 miles with DOP. A circular amble from<br />
Stratford, looking at points of interest in the<br />
area of West Ham. LUNCH: café or picnic. Meet<br />
at East Croydon station at 10.00. Leader: Ann<br />
