Median remuneration of staff<br />

Reporting bodies are required to disclose the<br />

relationship between the remuneration of the<br />

highest paid director in their organisation <strong>and</strong><br />

the median remuneration of the organisation’s<br />

workforce.<br />

Remuneration for the purposes of this calculation<br />

includes salary, bonus payments <strong>and</strong> benefits in<br />

kind, but excludes pension benefits.<br />

The b<strong>and</strong>ed remuneration of the highest paid<br />

director in Sport Engl<strong>and</strong> in the financial year<br />

<strong>2016</strong>–<strong>17</strong> <strong>and</strong> 2015–16 was £165k-£<strong>17</strong>0k.<br />

This was 3.83 (<strong>2016</strong>: 3.87 1 ) times the median<br />

remuneration of the workforce, which was<br />

£43,748 (<strong>2016</strong>: £43,332). No employees received<br />

remuneration in excess of the highest paid<br />

director in <strong>2016</strong>–<strong>17</strong> or 2015–16.<br />
