¹ The grant from the Department for Education in <strong>2016</strong> was to support volunteer coaches <strong>and</strong> leaders<br />

in the delivery of competitive school <strong>sport</strong> <strong>and</strong> the school games.<br />

² The Lottery grant received from the Sport Engl<strong>and</strong> Lottery Fund financed the media planning <strong>and</strong><br />

buying for the women’s marketing campaign “This Girl Can”. In <strong>2016</strong>, the balance from the first £7.2<br />

million grant was received. The funds received in 20<strong>17</strong> relate to the second £7.2 million grant. In 20<strong>17</strong><br />

there was more spend on out of home advertising <strong>and</strong> digital media.<br />
