estate and succession issues that face<br />
these business owners today. Jacqui’s<br />
strength is creating objective and customized<br />
financial plans that help provide her<br />
clients with an enhanced sense of security<br />
regarding their future, as well as the future<br />
of their family and the operation. Jacqui is<br />
currently the President of the Texas Coastal<br />
CattleWomen’s Association, as well as an<br />
active member of the Texas & Southwestern<br />
Cattle Raiser’s Association, Texas Longhorn<br />
Breeders Gulf Coast Association, and Texas<br />
Longhorn Breeders of America Association.<br />

ROBERT FEARS was raised in Texas where<br />
he worked as a cowboy on various ranches<br />
during high school and undergraduate studies.<br />
He holds a BS degree in agricultural<br />
sciences from Sam Houston State University<br />
and a MS in Range Ecology from Utah<br />
State University. Robert spent two years as<br />
livestock manager for the Government of<br />
Guam and 33 years in product development<br />
for Dow AgroSciences. After retirement from<br />
Dow, he chaired the Williamson County Appraisal<br />
Review for six years and developed<br />
a freelance writing business with his wife,<br />
Janelle. The couple writes magazine and<br />
newsletter articles, product literature and<br />
web material.<br />
SAMANTHA FOX develops data for<br />
Ponderosa Advisors, LLC, a boutique natural<br />
resources information and analytics firm<br />
based in Denver, Colorado. Ponderosa’s<br />
water expertise fuels Water Sage, a webbased<br />
research and analysis portal for<br />
land and water now available in several<br />
Western US states, as well as water and<br />
land consulting services. Samantha also<br />
writes about the social, economic, legal,<br />
and cultural significance of scarce water in<br />
the West. She holds a Bachelor of Science<br />
in Engineering Physics from the Colorado<br />
School of Mines.<br />
DR. CHARLES GILLILAND currently holds an<br />
appointment as a Research Economist with<br />
the Real Estate Center in the Mays School<br />
and an appointment as Adjunct Associate<br />
Professor of Agricultural Economics at Texas<br />
A&M University. In addition, Dr. Gilliland is<br />
Helen and O.N. Mitchell Fellow of Real Estate<br />
and a Clinical Professor of Finance teaching<br />
real estate investment analysis for the Master<br />
of Real Estate program in the Mays School at<br />
Texas A&M University.<br />
GREG SIMONS received a B.S. degree in<br />
Wildlife and Fisheries Sciences in 1987<br />
from Texas A&M University and soon<br />
after formed Wildlife Systems, Inc., a<br />
company that currently manages hunting<br />
operations on over 800,000 acres of<br />
private land in Texas and New Mexico. He<br />
is also co-owner of Wildlife Consultants,<br />
LLC, providing technical assistance to<br />
landowners and other entities on habitat<br />
management and other wildlife-related<br />
issues. Greg served as President of Texas<br />
Wildlife Association through July 2015.<br />
LORIE WOODWARD has worked as a writer<br />
and public relations practitioner exploring the<br />
intersection of agriculture, natural resources,<br />
and public policy for almost 30 years. Her<br />
career, which has included stints in the public<br />
and private sector, has taken her across the<br />
country and around the world, where she has<br />
been enthralled by the people of the land and<br />
their stories. She is the president of Woodward<br />
Communications and co-owner of The Round<br />
Top Register, a regional magazine focused<br />
on life in the rolling bluebonnet hills of central<br />
Texas where country meets city. Woodward<br />
was reared on a ranch near Lexington, Texas,<br />
but now makes her home in San Angelo with<br />
her two children, Kate and Will.
