HUMAN SERVICES SYSTEMS UNLIMITED, INC. MISSION & SERVICES The Mission of Systems Unlimited is to promote dignity and growth for people with disabilities and mental health needs. Systems Unlimited provides services in nine counties in Eastern Iowa to over 1400 people each year. Services can include supported community living, employment services, and mental health therapy and counseling. Referrals can be made at 800-401-3665, ext. 136. HOW TO HELP Systems Unlimited needs volunteers in the areas of assisting individuals with companionship in community activities or exercise supervision. We also need volunteers to assist with landscaping and lawn projects at our community based homes. Systems Unlimited holds two main events each year where volunteers are welcome. The “Strides for Rides” 5K Run and Fun Walk is held on October 21st this year at Terry Trueblood Center. HUMAN SERVICES TABLE TO TABLE MISSION & SERVICES Table to Table keeps wholesome, edible food from going to waste by collecting it from local grocery stores, farms, restaurants, and food warehouses and distributing it to those in need. We distribute nearly 2 million pounds of food each year to food pantries, youth homes, hot meal sites and other social service agencies serving the hungry, homeless, and at-risk populations. We charge no fee for our work in the community. HOW TO HELP We are always seeking volunteers for our weekly food rescue routes. We also have several office volunteer opportunities. Donations can be made via our web page or mailed to our office. We are very efficient with your donations. We can distribute food for only 16 cents a pound. Every dollar we receive has a nearly $30 impact in the community.
