ABBE MENTAL HEALTH CENTER
One in four individuals will experience an episode of mental illness at some point in our
lives. Virtually everyone in our community is impacted by a mental health need either
personally, or as a family member, friend, neighbor, etc. Advances in the treatment of
behavioral health disorders have been dramatic in the past 10 years helping countless
individuals to recover and live full and meaningful lives. During that same decade however
funding for serving individuals + their families has decreased. Early treatment and
community based services are effective in helping individuals recover.
MISSION & SERVICES
Reaching out to improve lives in our communities through advocacy, support and the integration
of mental health and wellness services. Our array of services are designed to encompass
emotional, physical and social well-being through our integrated health approach. Our services
include Integrated Health Home, Adult Outpatient Services (Psychiatric Evaluations, Medication
Management, and Individual / Family Therapy), Child & Adolescent Services, Community-Based
Services, In-home Mental Health Nursing, drop-in Recovery Centers and Homeless Outreach.
HOW TO HELP
Volunteering – Abbe Center has volunteer opportunities in our Wellness Recovery Center and social
group times. Volunteers have shared their hobbies or expertise with individuals attending social club
or have assisted in planning and organizing special Holiday events.
Giving opportunities – Contributions go to great use in helping individuals get the treatment services
they need, or towards assisting individuals served in our Homeless Outreach program. A donation
option is on our website. Your support is always appreciated!
