to accept the Bylaws Report with noted
revisions on pgs. 42 & 43.

E. Ollilia spoke on behalf of R. Nichols and noted
that there were no additions to the published
report.
Government Relations Committee:
Carrie Clausen Hansen
(pg 46 - Annual Convention Book)
C. Clausen-Hansen added the following:
1. BON Legislation last session was successful.
2. SDNA was asked to provide a letter of support
r/t the promulgation of rules.
3. Election year with 30% turnover in the state
legislature this year. Encourage members to
educate themselves and the candidates on issues.
4. SDNA Districts 8 & 9 will be hosting an
educational event on 10/17/16 in Brookings.
5. Upcoming topics that will be addressed 2017
session:
- Medicaid Expansion
SDNA member Sue Kelts was present to share her
platform. She is running for Dist. 32 House.

Linda Burdette will be the Chair of the committee
for 2017.
N-STAT: Deb Fischer Clemens
(pg 47 & 48 - Annual Convention Book)
D. Fischer-Clemens provided a brief overview of
N-STAT and the role it plays in national legislative
agendas, etc.
