to accept the Bylaws Report with noted<br />
revisions on pgs. 42 & 43.<br />

E. Ollilia spoke on behalf of R. Nichols and noted<br />
that there were no additions to the published<br />

Government Relations Committee:<br />
Carrie Clausen Hansen<br />
(pg 46 - <strong>Annual</strong> <strong>Convention</strong> Book)<br />
C. Clausen-Hansen added the following:<br />
1. BON Legislation last session was successful.<br />
2. <strong>SDNA</strong> was asked to provide a letter of support<br />
r/t the promulgation of rules.<br />
3. Election year with 30% turnover in the state<br />
legislature this year. Encourage members to<br />
educate themselves and the candidates on issues.<br />
4. <strong>SDNA</strong> Districts 8 & 9 will be hosting an<br />
educational event on 10/17/16 in Brookings.<br />
5. Upcoming topics that will be addressed <strong>2017</strong><br />
session:<br />
- Medicaid Expansion<br />
<strong>SDNA</strong> member Sue Kelts was present to share her<br />
platform. She is running for Dist. 32 House.<br />

Linda Burdette will be the Chair of the committee<br />
for <strong>2017</strong>.<br />
N-STAT: Deb Fischer Clemens<br />

D. Fischer-Clemens provided a brief overview of<br />
N-STAT and the role it plays in national legislative<br />
agendas, etc.<br />
