It's been a brilliant summer in P&TG so far, with lots of summer events taking place in the villages - and this year we have had some summer sun! The availability of the many clubs, societies and activities are the things that really make Penn & Tylers Green a special place to live - as well as the beauty of our environment So, it is no surprise that many residents have expressed concerns about the proposed changes likely to take place in our villages, as a result of the impending Ashwells / Gomm Valley developments. In particular, concerns about the increased volume of traffic as a result of the infrastructure changes, not only in P&TG, but also the surrounding areas, which combined, have the potential to impact on our villages as well; and that various routes through the villages will become 'rat-runs'. Of particular concern is the area around Cock Lane, passing by the TG Middle School. VV readers are invited to sign an e-petition to require the decision makers, to review the proposals and consider alternatives Please read carefully all the updates on the planned developments, and if you feel strongly, consider signing the e-petition. In P&TG , we have a strong tradition of campaigning - most recently we supported the successful Joe Gleeson campaign. Elsewhere in VV we have other concerned villagers writing about other issues affecting the amenity enjoyment of our villages - flytipping, dog poo, and overgrown vegetation affecting the visibility of road signs.
