number of Juniors who have stepped up effortlessly into the Senior sides again thie year – this is ultimately what will ensure that the Club continues to thrive into the future. On July 16th the Club hosted the inaugural ‘Great Village Cricket Tea’, the centre-piece of which was the cake competition judged by Mary Berry. The weather held fair for us and the event proved to be a fun day for all ages with so many families enjoying a traditional village day-out with entertainment, sports and refreshments all afternoon. We would like to thank everyone that supported the event and contributed to making the day a success, not least Mary herself who was extremely generous with her time. The senior League-season continues each Saturday into early September and the Bank Holiday weekend in August will play host to the Six-a-side tournament on 27th August.
