Sachin Chatte is a film critic who has been writing about cinema for over 23 years. A<br />
graduate in Computer Technology, he started writing for The Hitavada in Nagpur in<br />
1994 and writes a weekly column for The Navhind Times, Goa since 1999 till date. He<br />
has also contributed to various magazines and national dailies and has covered <strong>IFFI</strong><br />
extensively since the festival moved to Goa in 2004. Apart from writing about cinema,<br />
he also teaches Film Appreciation at colleges in Goa. He also doubles as a radio<br />
jockey with All India Radio’s FM Rainbow since 1998.<br />

Satarupa Sanyal, a poet, social activist and Bengali film director started her career<br />
as an actor. She is a veterinarian and recipient of National award for Best Lyricist<br />
(1990). Her films Anu and Onyo Opalaa were Indian Panorama selections and are well<br />
acclaimed in India and abroad.<br />

Suresh Heblikar, director & screenplay writer of Mana Manthana is a renowned actor,<br />
director and environmentalist. His handling of a bold subject in the film Kaadina<br />
Benki (Forest Fire) based on a psycho-sexual theme not only won him National &<br />
State Awards but also critical acclaim from various quarters. This was followed by<br />
Prathama Ushakirana, which won the State and Filmfare Award for direction, the<br />
film has remained one of the most popular films among Kannada audience. Suresh<br />
Heblikar has also won an award instituted by the United Nations – F.A.O. Osiris Award<br />
for his short film Shepherds on the Move. His short film on Dharwad’s cultural ethos<br />
brought him a State Award for the Best Documentary. He has acted in notable films<br />
like Rushyashrunga, Tai Saheba, Kaadina Benki. His contribution to cinema and the<br />
environment has been recognized by various government and private institutions.<br />
