Indian VR: Where are we now? Where are we<br />

headed?<br />

Anand is pioneer of VR and AR content in India. His company Memesys Culture Lab has created<br />

India’s first VR documentary platform called ElseVR. He has been invited to share his expertise at<br />

prominent platforms such as MIPCOM at Cannes. VR documentaries produced by Anand have been<br />

featured at prestigious film festivals such as TIFF, Shefeild and Dubai International Film Festival. The<br />

brand content produced by Memesys Labs is the most viewed VR content created in India.<br />

Avinash Kumar - Virtual India (Panel)<br />

Avinash is a design strategist, media artist and digital curator. He is the Creative Director of the<br />

upcoming Indian Centre for Immersive Media (ICIM) - set up in partnership with the Indian School<br />

of Design & Innovation (ISDI) MumbaI - which has an agenda for the disruptive research and<br />

incubation of Indian Immersive content in Virtual, Augmented and Mixed Reality. He is also the<br />

director of an Indian cultural video game platform called Antariksha Sanchar, produced by his studio<br />

Quicksand - one of India’s leading innovation consultancies. www.quicksand.co.in<br />

Jayisha Patel<br />

An award winning documentary-maker based in London. Her short films have shown at festivals<br />

such as Berlin, Cannes, AFI Silverdocs and the New York Film Festival amongst others. Jayisha<br />

launched her new VR project Notes To My Father at the Oculus House at the <strong>2017</strong> Sundance Film<br />

Festival, and also presented the work at the SXSW Film Festival in March. She is currently an artist<br />

in residence at Somerset House where she is developing her second immersive project, Fire.<br />
