J. Jayalalitha was an Indian actor and politician, who served six terms as the Chief Minister of Tamil<br />
Nadu, for over fourteen years, between 1991 and 2016. Her debut in Kannada film was Chinnada<br />
Gombe, her debut Telugu film was Manushulu Mamathalu, in Tamil it was Vennira Aadai, in Hindi<br />
it was Izzat and in Malayalam it was the film Jesus. Jayalalithaa was awarded the Kalaimamani by<br />
the Government of Tamil Nadu. She has received several honorary doctorates and awards from the<br />
University of Madras.<br />
