Abdul Majid, Assamese director started as a playwright with Banchita, Dhuli Makoti, Char,<br />
Sihat Ahise, Choretal. He entered films as actor in Nip Barua’s Ranga Police and produced,<br />
wrote and directed films. His best known film is Chameli Memsaab, deploying a staid narrative<br />
progression weaving romance into clearly defined themes.<br />
