Well, where do we begin this week.
Seems that the Prez, in his infinite wisdom, has
decided that if the Palestinians don’t come back
to peace talks with the Israelis, he is going to shut
down their Washington office. Hmmm, if they
close the office how do we communicate with
them? Back to asking the Swedish consulate?
Or do we discuss the latest tax proposal from the
Republicans – no more deductions for state and
local taxes! No deduction for student loan payments,
no mortgage deduction and they attempt
to eliminate Obamacare through the tax bill.
Amazing that traditional Republican supporters
like the National Assn of Realtors, the Chamber of
Commerce and others are out against this bill. We
can only hope that 3 Republican senators vote no.
Sen Johnson has already said he will vote no – that
leaves us to two. Who will that be? One would
have thought that someone might have told these
boneheads that trickle-down economics doesn’t
work. Reagan tried it and it led to the Bush 1
recession and a huge budget deficit that did not
come down until Bill Clinton took office.
The Groper-In-Chief has decided to pile on Senator
Franken over allegations of sexual abuse when
he was a comedian and NOT an elected official.
Mr. Franken has already apologized and offered
to go before the Senate Ethics Committee. Mr.
Trump still denies he did anything wrong, even
though his comments were caught on tape – PLUS
he still defends Judge Moore in Alabama! The
Emperor has no clothes.
Seems the Administration failed to tell Congress.
Are these really the folks we want defending us?
Downright scare.
All-in-all, a pretty depressing week. Then to
cap it off the oil pipeline that Obama refused to
be allowed to be built saying it was unsafe AND
Trump allowed in his first month in office has now
– guess? begun to leak! 100’s of 1000’s of gallons
of crude. OOOOPS! I have an idea of how to use
some of the oil. Tar and feather anyone?
