As far as the wind is concerned, the prevailing winds in the country are westerly to southwesterly.<br />
However hot, dry and dusty winds frequently occur, blowing from the south-east as<br />
well. Known locally as the kham-sin, these winds blow most often in the early and late summer<br />
and can last for several days at a time before terminating abruptly as the wind direction<br />
