UMLY School Of Birding: Birding For Beginners<br />

Did you know that birding is one of the fastest-growing<br />
recreational activities in America? Find out why with the<br />
UMLY School of Birding! Beginner bird identification, bird<br />
song, bird behavior, and other topics are covered with<br />
hands-on activities alongside our experienced birding<br />
instructors. Workshops meet in the Carriage House<br />
Science Lab and include indoor and outdoor lessons.<br />
Binoculars and field guides are provided. Registration fee<br />
includes two 3-hour sessions (9am - noon Saturday and<br />
Sunday).<br />

As the sun goes down, many animals are just waking up.<br />
With hands-on indoors activities and hikes through the<br />
Cassatt Preserve, this class will focus on owls, raccoons,<br />
foxes, flying squirrels, and other elusive creatures that are<br />
seldom seen in full daylight.<br />
