<strong>SGH</strong> Library<br />
The <strong>SGH</strong> library is situ<strong>at</strong>ed on the campus. It is a comprehensive economics library<br />
containing nearly one million books and magazines in Polish and foreign languages. The<br />
library inform<strong>at</strong>ion centre efficiently assists Polish and foreign users. The bar-code identific<strong>at</strong>ion<br />
system requires all students <strong>to</strong> obtain a Library Card. Please do not forget <strong>to</strong> bring<br />
one pho<strong>to</strong>graph with you for the card. Most of the library resources are available on order,<br />
which means you cannot browse and pick up the books yourself. You must rely on<br />
computerized d<strong>at</strong>abase and decide whether the book s<strong>at</strong>isfies you after receiving it <strong>at</strong> the<br />
counter. Exchange students are not allowed <strong>to</strong> take the books outside; they can only read<br />
the books in the reading hall and/or copy them.<br />
Portions of the <strong>SGH</strong> library s<strong>to</strong>ck have been computerised. There is a computer system<br />
called “PRO QUEST” CD-ROM library <strong>at</strong> the Inform<strong>at</strong>ion Centre next <strong>to</strong> the main reading<br />
room. The system consists of a large number of printable articles and abstracts written in<br />
English. The d<strong>at</strong>abase is extensive, with mainly articles from American economic<br />
