an email to you with your login, password and link to the application website. The
application contains general information and accommodation forms. The Deadline for
application for Fall Semester/Academic Year in this system is May 17, 2006; for Summer
Semester – November 17, 2006.
Once you are registered as SGH student you will get your personal login and password to
our Virtual Dean’s Office (Wirtualny Dziekanat) http://www.sgh.waw.pl/en/virtual where
you will complete your registration for courses. The system will be available from April 28
until May 29, 2006.
REMEMBER that after initial choice you might be asked to repeat the registration process if
(due to insufficient number of students registered) or if any of these courses are cancelled.
The paper version of “How to study” guide and “ECTS Booklet” will be sent to your school
but it will be also available in electronic version on our webpage
http://www.sgh.waw.pl/en/wspolpraca-en/information/news/. “ECTS Booklet” contains
short descriptions of courses offered in English, German, and Russian and in French, plus
information about the organisation of the present academic year.
Step no 4: A Letter of Acceptance will be issued to you in good time allowing you to
arrange your trip, especially for those amongst you who are non-EU citizens who need to
obtain a Polish student visa at the nearest Polish Consulate in your country.
Please note, that students coming to WSE as “independent study students “will receive
their Letter of Acceptance after making the payment for their studies.
Step no 5: You will be contacted by a Polish student, who will be your “buddy.” Please
keep in touch with him/her: he/she will explain all the special procedures and rules to you,
and will also pick you up from the Warsaw Airport or Railway Station and drive you to
your place of residence. In all, your buddy will assist you during your whole stay at SGH.
Step no 6: In the application form you will choose between three types of accommodation:
student dormitory, hotel or private accommodation. If you choose the dorm or hotel, a
place will be booked there and the key will be waiting for you at the reception. This is why
it is important to inform your buddy as to your exact date and time of arrival. You can find
more information about lodging in the chapter “Accommodation.” For further information,
