If you are planning on
having a few we guess
you don’t want something
too fruity or bland for that
matter. The Cricketer’s
Arms Session Ale in this
regard is just perfect. Still
plenty of taste without
being overly indulgent
with a huge hop hit. They
slide down your throat
like a Trevor Chappell
underarm delivery. If you
are a Kiwi however, you
may choke on it.
Smooth and balanced is
all I have to say. Scotty
Hargraves, the head
brewer at Balter, is a
multi-award winning,
revered brewer and this
beer is testament to that.
Nothing more needs to be
said other than, “you must
try this.”
Prepare to be tagged
and bagged as this
Full Metal Jacket of an
American IPA rains an
apocalyptic, resinous
hellfire of clustered hops
and passionfruit aromas
upon the senses. There’s
nowhere to hide, so gear
up, sound off and blast
“Ride of the Valkyries”
at full volume, because,
soldier, you’re at war. We
love the taste of IPA in the
morning. Yep that’s what
it says on the can. Thank
the Lord the craft beer
world has awakened our
tastebuds. Love the beer
and love the name.
A traditional English style
IPA. Hoppy bitterness but
quite a strong malt taste.
Almost the complete
opposite of the Warthog
and other American Style
IPAs. It has a strong
caramel base and is quite
filling. Had heard so much
hype but unfortunately
it failed to live up to my
expectations.
