10 Tuesday May 9 2017 Latest Christchurch news at www. .kiwi ST MARGARET’S College students Virginia Macdonald and Aisha O’Malley, both year 12, are on a cultural exchange at St Margaret’s British School for Girls in Con Con, Chile. The schools belong to the Queen Margaret network and the exchange has taken place for several years. While in Chile for a month, Virginia and Aisha will visit Valparaiso, Santiago, and other well-known cultural areas famous for art or pottery. They will also attend a SCHOOLS SAFETY: Year 6 pupils, Maddy Lamb (above), Lachlan Laney, Jack Barltrop, Hayley Parnell and Meg Buckler took part in the city council’s Cycle Safe programme at Harewood School. The pupils had their bikes checked for safety, learnt new skills and spent time practicing with trained supervisors. St Margaret’s duo in Chile OVERSEAS: Virginia Macdonald and Aisha O’Malley are currently in Chile. university language course for a week and have the opportunity to do community service.
