will go on sale later this year
from $375,000.
Fletcher Living is building the
Government-led project which
will be known as Atlas Quarter
on Welles St.
The first two stages of the
development are due to be completed
and available for sale in
October.
It will have a mixture of one
and two-bedroom apartments,
along with some three-bedroom
terrace housing.
One-bedroom apartments
will start from $375,000, with
the two-bedroom apartments to
The development is part of
the Christchurch Housing Accord,
between the city council and
Government to boost the housing
The site, between Colombo
by property developer David
Henderson.
He sold it to the city council
in 2008, which then sold to the
Crown.
Another of Mr Henderson’s
former properties, the old Sydenham
School site on Colombo St,
is being developed into housing
under the accord as well.
Atlas Quarter will have 109
Smokefreerockquest.
Christ’s College band Run77
and Shirley Boys’ High School’s
Fuzhun will compete at the
Run77, made up of Angus
made 12min videos performing
their original music.
Those videos were judged by a
said the music was unique this
year.
“It’s so good to see some really
strong writers ready to make
their way into the New Zealand
music industry.”
The final, where 12 acts will
Major upgrade to Russley Road/Memorial Avenue intersection
The Russley Road/Memorial Avenue temporary roundabout will be removed
in early August and replaced with a new intersection with traffic lights.
EXPECT
DELAYS
4-6 AUG
The permanent change means traffic will be able to
travel to and from Christchurch International
Airport, under the new Gateway Bridge, for the first
time. It will also allow the project team to complete
the new road on top of the bridge, bringing them a
step closer to completing the upgrade.
New road signage
People travelling through the intersection will
need to pay close attention to the new signage
to ensure their vehicle is in the right lane.
Please be courteous to other drivers who will
also be getting used to the change.
Lengthy delays at Russley Road/Memorial Avenue intersection
While this is an exciting milestone there will be delays
of up to 20 minutes while the changes take place on
4-6 August.
If you’re travelling to the airport leave extra time to get
there or take an alternative route to avoid the work site.
People coming from the north can turn off at
Harewood Road and those coming from the south can
use the new Southern Airport Access (see map).
