MAKE FAMILY
A PRIORITY
Sadly, many parents work long hours and a lot of over-time and
never actually spend any time with the family they are trying to
care for. They neglect their family’s emotional needs and end up
becoming a stranger in their own home.
Your home is meant to be a safe and fun place to be. But if you are never
there, your spouse and kids will begin to resent you and no amount of
material things will make up for it. You will send them a simple message:
Work is more important than you.
When you are with your family, be careful not to tune out by getting glued
to social media or TV and neglect actually spending quality time together.
Your kids will learn to imitate you and they will stop communicating. Try
to eat at least one meal together, talking together. Research shows that
families who do this have children who perform better at school and have
higher levels of well being.
