He has taught the entire humanity how they should act and behave so that they may lead a life of comfort and peace in the world and in the Hereafter. Choosing some of the people whose deserved destination in the Hereafter is Hell, He will magnanimously forgive them and bless them with Paradise....

Ano<strong>the</strong>rpersonwasseeninadream<strong>and</strong>wasasked,“Howdid<br />
Allâhuta’âlâbehavetowardsyou?”<strong>The</strong>deadpersonsaid,“As<strong>the</strong><br />
personwhowaswashingmeturnedmeharshlyfromonesideto<br />
<strong>the</strong>o<strong>the</strong>r,anironnailon<strong>the</strong>benchscratchedmybody.Thathurt<br />
meverybadly.”When<strong>the</strong>personwhohadwashed<strong>the</strong>corpsewas<br />
askedaboutit<strong>the</strong>followingmorning,hesaidthatitwastrue.“It<br />
didhappen,althoughinadvertently,”headded.<br />
Ano<strong>the</strong>ronewasseeninadream<strong>and</strong>wasasked,“Howhave<br />
youbeen?Didn’tyoudie<strong>the</strong>o<strong>the</strong>rday?”“Yes,Idid,”hereplied.<br />
“Iaminastateofkhayr,(i.e.Iamwelloffhere.’However,as<strong>the</strong>y<br />
wereshovellingearthintomygrave,apieceofstonefellonmy<br />
body <strong>and</strong> broke two of my bones. That gave me a lot of pain.”<br />
<strong>The</strong>reupon<strong>the</strong>yopenedhisgrave<strong>and</strong>sawthatitwasashehad<br />
said.<br />
Apersonwasdreamedofbyhisson<strong>and</strong>saidtohisson,“O,<br />
you,badson!Putthingsrightindaddy’sgrave!For<strong>the</strong>rainhas<br />
causedalotoftrouble.”<strong>The</strong>reupon<strong>the</strong>yopenedhisgrave.Indeed,<br />
itwaslikeanirrigationtrench.Floodhadfilleditup.<br />
AnA’rabî(nomadArab)relates:WhenIaskedmy(dead)son<br />
howAllâhuta’âlâhadtreatedhim,hesaid,“Iamallright.Yet,<br />
because I was buried in a grave near that of a fâsiq person, my<br />
heartfeelsfearbecauseof<strong>the</strong>tormentbeinginflictedonhim.”As<br />
is clearly understood from <strong>the</strong>se stories <strong>and</strong> many ano<strong>the</strong>r<br />
analogousstorybeingrelated,deadpeoplesuffertormentin<strong>the</strong>ir<br />
graves. For that matter, our blessed Prophet ‘sall-Allâhu ta’âlâ<br />
’alaihiwasallam’prohibitedtobreak<strong>the</strong>bonesofacorpse<strong>and</strong>,<br />
whenonedayhesawsomeonesittingononesideofagrave,he<br />
said, “Don’t torment <strong>the</strong> dead in <strong>the</strong>ir graves” <strong>and</strong> “Just as <strong>the</strong><br />
living people sense <strong>and</strong> feel sorrows <strong>and</strong> pains in <strong>the</strong>ir homes,<br />
likewise <strong>the</strong> dead people sense <strong>and</strong> feel sorrows <strong>and</strong> pains in <strong>the</strong>ir<br />
graves.”<br />
When our blessed Prophet ‘sall-Allâhu ’alaihi wa sallam’<br />
visited<strong>the</strong>graveofHadratÂmina,hisblessedmo<strong>the</strong>r,hewept,<br />
<strong>and</strong>sodid<strong>the</strong>peoplewithhim.Heexplained:“I asked my Rabb<br />
(Allâhu ta’âlâ) for permission so that I could invoke Him for<br />
forgiveness on her behalf. He refused to give me permission to do<br />
so.”<strong>The</strong>nhestated:“When I invoked Him to give me permission<br />
to visit her grave, He gave me permission. <strong>The</strong>n, you, too, visit<br />
graves. For, such visits will cause you to remember death.”<br />
[Afterwards, Rasûlullah was given permission to invoke Allâhu<br />
ta’âlâ for forgiveness on behalf of his parents. <strong>The</strong>y had been<br />
