certificate credentializing programs. Topics such as the requirement for c<strong>on</strong>tinuing<br />

educati<strong>on</strong>, codes <strong>of</strong> ethics, number <strong>of</strong> individuals holding the certificati<strong>on</strong>, <strong>and</strong><br />

credentialing organizati<strong>on</strong>s will be covered. Additi<strong>on</strong>ally, evaluati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> the<br />

Attainment, <strong>and</strong> Employment [H, P, A]<br />

This sessi<strong>on</strong> will explore the design <strong>and</strong> implementati<strong>on</strong> <strong>of</strong> an educati<strong>on</strong>-to-career<br />

model that partners sec<strong>on</strong>dary <strong>and</strong> postsec<strong>on</strong>dary educati<strong>on</strong>, three high schools, a<br />

healthcare employer, <strong>and</strong> a funding agency. The Trit<strong>on</strong> College/Westlake Hospital<br />

Scholarship Program is designed to address the educati<strong>on</strong>al needs <strong>of</strong> underpriveliged<br />

students, as well as employes’ needs for additi<strong>on</strong>al nurses <strong>and</strong> allied healthcare<br />

pr<strong>of</strong>essi<strong>on</strong>als. The program is recognized as a best practice program by the Illinois State<br />

Board <strong>of</strong> Higher Educati<strong>on</strong> <strong>and</strong> the Illinois Community College Board.<br />
