Built in 1960, the Desmond Abernethy Hall was re-opened again in July
2015 after it had been reconstructed for several years. The architectural
design for the conversion of the existing Abernethy Hall into a facility
better suited to the needs of the school, had been undertaken with a view
to preserving some of the key features, but at the same time increasing
the seating capacity and greatly enhancing its flexibility.
The current design retains much of the original structure and layout,
including a gallery and the east and west wings, both double-storey, have
been added as entirely new structures.

The building was officially opened on March 16, 1967.
There is rich symbolism in the architecture of the building, like the three
concrete sails at the front of the church which symbolize the holy trinity
or the central roof in the form of a veil stretching to an impressive height
of 24 meter above the pulpit reminding us of the bride waiting for her
Groom.
The pipe organ was seen as the most beautiful in the country when
officiated on June 3, 1967. It consists of 3,022 pipes, with the longest
being 5 meters and shortest 2,5cm.
