Borgerhout-Antwerpen, Belgium
The Waelrant Youth Choir was founded in 1968. During
the last years the choir participated with great results
in several festivals and competitions at home and
abroad. The choir offers its members a good vocal
training. All genres and styles are included in the
program in order to broaden the youngsters‘ musical
development as widely as possible. This includes
Flemish contemporary choir music.
4. Stellenbosch University Choir
Conductor: André van der Merwe
Stellenbosch, Western Cape, South Africa
The Stellenbosch University Choir is comprised
of students from various academic and cultural
backgrounds. The Matie choir is the oldest and most
celebrated choir in South Africa, being founded
in 1936 and is currently ranked number 1 on the
INTERKULTUR World Ranking List of the top 1000
international choirs.
