The Male Vocal Ensemble Klapa Kastav was founded
in June 1992 and since then has been continuously
committed to preserving the Croatian musical
heritage. The Female Vocal Ensemble Klapa Kastav
was founded in spring 1994. Many years of successful
work are proven by numerous awards and prizes at
home and abroad. The two ensembles accomplished
a successful cooperation with the most honourable
names in the Croatian music scene, and have
published three CDs until now.
4. Akustika Chamber Singers
Conductor: Christo Burger
Pretoria, Gauteng, South Africa
Akustika was established in December 2005 by
its current conductor Christo Burger and is an
internationally acclaimed multi award winning choir
from Pretoria, South Africa. The choir consists of
young working adults from the Gauteng province,
mainly Pretoria and is currently ranked as the 2 nd best
mixed choir on the INTERKULTUR world rankings.
