NEXT ISSUE ON SALE:
20 JULY 2018
WWW.KELSEY.CO.UK
It's report overload this month with all
the details and pictures from the British
Mini Day, London to Brighton and the
International Mini Meet in Portugal.
Kevin Webb’s Maroon B-coloured Mini
Minor leads on quite nicely from these,
as if you were at the London to Brighton
prize giving, you might have witnessed
Kevin’s shock at winning the ‘Best in
Show’. We can’t see why he was so
shocked, as this is a beautifully restored
early Mini Minor De Luxe, with an
interesting story to go with it.
Another perfectly restored original Mini
comes in the form of Paul Billington’s
Clubman, finished in the oh-so-’70s shade
of Antelope with a distinctive red vinyl
interior. Restored to concours condition,
on top of the originality what really
impresses is the level of detail. And the
hard work has paid off with the amount
of silverware won in recent events.
Dan Ingles’ Cooper LE is no stranger to
the polishing cloth, but that wasn’t the
original plan. He got the concours bug
after initally buying this Cooper to run
through the summer and sell. The result
is a sympathetic upgrade of a soughtafter
limited edition and lots of chrome.
Last but not least is our cover car Tom
Read’s Wolseley Hornet. With 150bhp,
EMAIL
minimag.ed@kelsey.co.uk
Yamaha R1-bike power, a stripped-out
and caged interior, plus the distinctive
Porsche Miami Blue exterior, this is a very
serious, race-orientated Mini saloon!
Mad and brilliant in equal measure, I
salute Tom for this Mini creation.
Elsewhere, if you’re having front wheel
bearing issues, we’ve got a complete
fitting guide in Mini Tech, a full fitting
guide of MED's all-new cambelt
conversion, and a closer look at tracking
in Neil's latest instalment on handling.
We also have the story of reader Sarah
Thomas’s ‘Little Pig’ Studio 2, which is
being rebuilt back to stock.
Looking forward to Mini In The Park
already, enjoy the issue!
