S/QRC and G-2 Snubbing BOPs<br />
The Cameron S/QRC and G-2 snubbing blowout preventers are used in well workover<br />
and servicing operations. S/QRCs are ram-type preventers which maintain pressure<br />
control for all types of workover wells. The Cameron G-2 BOP is suitable for wells requiring<br />
a 4-1/16” 5000 or 10,000 psi WP or 7-1/16” 5000 psi WP snubbing preventer.<br />
S/QRC and G-2 Rams<br />
Cameron S/QRC and G-2 snubbing BOPs can be equipped with the proper rams to<br />
perform a full range of snubbing preventer operations.<br />
Four types of ram bodies are available for the 4-1/16” 10,000, 15,000 and 25,000 psi<br />
S/QRC and 4-1/16” 5000 and 10,000 psi G-2 BOPs. These include blind, pipe, shear<br />
and wireline rams. Pipe rams can be fitted with safety packers, wear insert packers<br />
or slip inserts. Blind and pipe rams are available for all sizes.<br />
Features include:<br />
• Safety packers seal around tubing in the well bore. Tubing can be stripped or<br />
snubbed through these packers, if necessary.<br />
• Wear insert packers are for stripping and snubbing service. These subassemblies<br />
have a wear insert which can be easily replaced to renew the packer.<br />
• Slip inserts are used to hold the tubing string after shearing or during workover<br />
operations by supporting upward and downward forces as well as tortional<br />
forces.<br />
• Wireline ram guides have hardened steel guiding surfaces and are replaceable.<br />
• No special operating system is required for shearing.<br />
• All S/QRC and G-2 rams are suited for H 2 S service per NACE MR-01-75.<br />
