U II BOP Variable Bore Rams<br />
One set of Cameron variable bore rams<br />
seals on several sizes of pipe or hexagonal<br />
kelly. Variable bore rams are available in<br />
the size ranges listed in the chart below.<br />
All rams listed are suitable for H 2 S service<br />
per NACE MR-01-75.<br />
CAMRAM packers and top seals are standard<br />
for all U II BOP variable bore rams.<br />
The variable bore ram packer contains<br />
steel reinforcing inserts similar to those in<br />
the Cameron annular BOP packer. The inserts<br />
rotate inward when the rams are<br />
closed so the steel provides support for<br />
the rubber which seals against the pipe.<br />
