Quick Guide to Programs at the WRC of Manatee<br />
Emotional<br />
Employment<br />

Mental Health Counseling - We offer short term<br />
individual and couples counseling sessions for adults over 18. By<br />
appointment. We are unable to accept clients in crisis, substance<br />
abusers or those requiring medication.<br />
<br />
Employment Coaching - Offering individual assistance<br />
in preparing for a successful job search. Includes resume<br />
preparation, interviewing skills and networking techniques.<br />
Appointments are required.<br />
<br />
Support Groups - The WRC offers a variety or weekly and<br />
monthly support groups including: Evaluating Unhealthy Relationships<br />
with HOPE Family Services ( Wednesdays 5:30 - 7:00 pm), Alzheimer’s<br />
Support Group (2nd Thursday of each month 2:30 - 3:30 pm), Addiction<br />
Support Group for Family & Friends of Addicts ( Mondays 6-7:30 pm)<br />
and Rediscover Joy.<br />

WRC Career Closet - The WRC Career Closet offers<br />
professional clothing for women starting a new job or attending<br />
interviews. The closet may be accessed twice a year for up to<br />
five outfits and includes shoes and purses as well as clothing.<br />
Donations for the Career Closet and the Unique Boutique are<br />
appreciated and accepted at the WRC Mon -Thurs from 9 am-6 pm<br />

Parenting Coach - Individual parenting instruction and<br />
support sessions by appointment. Also specializing in high conflict<br />
situations such as divorce.<br />
Latinas of the WRC - A weekly forum for Latina women to<br />
come together to discover skills, build self-confidence and find their<br />
own paths to success.<br />
Mission Sisterhood, Girl Scout Troop #494 -<br />
A Girl Scout Troop for group for Latina girls aged 12 - 17 years old.<br />
Legal<br />
Career Source Suncoast Mobile Unit -<br />
A mobile job search unit that is at the WRC on the 3rd Monday of<br />
each month from 9:00 am to 3:00 pm. The staff will help you post<br />
your resume with one of the most comprehensive web-based job<br />
databases within the State of Florida as well as many other web<br />
sites. This program now offers a bi-lingual service.<br />

Coming Soon! Basic Computer Classes - Basic<br />
Word, Excel and Internet classes are presented in an easy, open<br />
environment.<br />

Divorce, Separation & Family Law Workshops<br />
- These workshops are held every other month and include seminars<br />
on divorce and family law and gaining financial control of your divorce.<br />
Ask An Attorney - Individual ½ hour consultation session with<br />
an attorney on issues to do with family law. The attorneys can help<br />
with Divorce, Separation, Child Custody, Division of Property, Alimony,<br />
and Child Support.<br />
High Conflict Parenting - Workshops to help with<br />
communication during the divorce process as well as the conflicts<br />
that may arise when blending families.<br />

Yoga & Zumba Style Classes - Three levels of yoga<br />
instruction are offered weekly<br />
Donna’s Dance Party - A combination of Zumba, 70’s,<br />
Motown music & more. All fitness levels. Wednesday 9am - 10 am.<br />
Health & Wellness Workshops - These are held<br />
monthly and include classes on the use of natural oils and herbs<br />
and other health related topics<br />
Book Club - Two monthly book clubs are offered on the 1st<br />
Thursday of each month, one at 1:00 pm and the other at 7:00 pm.<br />
Circle of Friends - A way of connecting with other<br />
women in the community for companionship. The group stays<br />
connected through email and then gets together for social events.<br />
Unique Boutique of the WRC<br />
The Unique Boutique is an upscale, resale boutique offering gently worn, name brand, women’s clothing and accessories in a variety of<br />
sizes and styles. All proceeds from the Unique Boutique benefit the Women’s Resource Center of Manatee. The boutique is located in<br />
Jennings Arcade, on Old Main Street, Bradenton at 417 12th Street West, Bradenton . Hours Tues- Fri 11 am - 5 pm, Sat 10 am - 2 pm<br />
The Unique Boutique has a “Girls Day Out” on the 1st Thursday of each month where all items (apart from the 80% rack) are offered at<br />
50% off. We greatly appreciate any donations of gently worn clothing and accessories such as shoes, handbags, jewelry and scarves.<br />
The Women’s Resource Center of Manatee is open Monday - Thursday from 9:00 am to 6:00 pm and on Fridays from 9:00 am - 12 Noon.<br />
While some of our programs and services are offered at no cost there are some fees associate with others. Please feel free to contact us for<br />
