We educate and empower those affected by vision loss<br />
so they may enjoy happy, healthy and independent lives.<br />
Early Intervention - Birth to 5 years<br />
Lighthouse instructors assess and measure<br />
each child’s functional skills, and design<br />
individual therapies, to avoid delays in<br />
development and prepare them for school.<br />
Children’s Program - Ages 6 to 13<br />
Designed to supplement services provided by<br />
Teachers of the Visually Impaired. Lighthouse<br />
instructors provide individualized instruction<br />
based on the specific needs of each student,<br />
as well as group instruction to promote<br />
socialization and teamwork.<br />
These programs are offered at no cost to participants.<br />

Transition Program - Ages 14 to 22<br />
Prepares students for transition from school<br />
to job readiness and living independently.<br />
Adjustment to Vision Loss<br />
Designed for visually impaired adults of all<br />
ages, with adaptive strategies for cooking,<br />
household safety, computer use and<br />
mobility at home and in the community.<br />
Vocational Rehabilitation<br />
Training for individuals who are having<br />
trouble maintaining their job or wish to work.<br />
