For some it is about the natural expression of 

sexual desire, love, and passion. For others, 

the erotic inclinations associated with love are 

based on instinct and not on reason and for 

this reason produce all kinds of disturbances 

and disappointments. In other words, the 

erotic is a source of desire and pleasure, but 

inside it hides a bitter poison that leads to 

suffering. Either way, it is far better to try it 

then worry about it. 

Here are some quick tips that we have seen in 

our 25 years that always seem to work in one 

way or another. 

Finding You.You should not even be looking 

for a date if you have not found yourself. Do 

you know what you want to achieve in your 

life? Are you following your dreams? Are you 

happy? With meaning in life, big or small, a 

purpose helps you set the direction of how 

you want to live your life. That is important 

to having a partner to share with. 

Regrets? Don't spend all your time thinking 

about the past, You have to let it all go to 

enjoy the present. You cannot change the 

past, so let it go. The only thing to choose is 

how to to live your present and future life. 

More importantly those you choose to be in 

it. 

complacency and comfort. 

Acceptance. There will be times in your life 

where you will face rejection and there will 

be people who will not like you that much. 

There will be people that want to reject the 

changes you are making. Accepting who you 

are and loving yourself helps you to move 

forward in your life. Why be putting yourself 

down when there are other better options. 

You have made many acceptable choices to 

get here now, why not make a few more. 

Find you moment. We all tend to find that 

the grass is greener on the other side. That 

is until we get to the other side and find it is 

worse. I once hated that my family argued so 

much, until I found a family that never talked 

to each other. Being in the moment is not just 

observation, its participation. 

Even the dating game needs it own pace. We 

are often so busy focusing on our pursuit 

of love and happiness, that we risk the joy 

of actually living in the moment. There will 

always be a desire to have happiness in our 

lives, but it can drive a wedge in tho the 

things we want to do. 

Helping those in need brings joy and 

happiness a well. This is what living our life 

in the moment is all about – don’t miss these 

moments because you are too busy focusing 

on the mess you made of the past or your 

not equipped to handle the present. If you're 

reading this, you're ready, and there are a 

number of special people right now waiting 

to be on your list. But f you don't find them 

this year, you will still have have a great time

transition. Every thing that used to work, 

no-longer works. Make a list of things that 

scare you. Something you might like to 

do, but are too afraid to. Join a group, or 

volunteer. Put plans in place and then go do

STEPHEN WILTSHIRE - AUTISTIC 

ARTIST WITH PHENOMENAL 

MEMORY 

Stephen Wiltshire is not exactly a 

household name in artists, however you 

have probably seen his work somewhere 

in published form or in a gallery or on 

TV, over the past 10 years. Wiltshire is a 

UK artist, born of Caribbean parents in 

1974. He grew up in a suburb of London. 

At the age of 3 he was diagnosed with 

autism. At the age of five he was sent to 

a specialized school, Queensmill School, 

where he expressed a high interest in 

drawing. His drawings depicted animals 

and American cars. Then at about the 

age of seven he became fascinated with 

landmark buildings in London. He 

began drawing detailed architectural 

drawings of imaginary cityscapes. 

Segwaying into the topic of autism 

which is what Stephen was diagnosed 

with. The writer has had the privilege 

of working with people with autism 

and in using art as a therapy in the 

treatment of it. Autism was first used 

as a term about 100 years ago by a 

Swiss psychiatrist, Eugene Bieuler. 

Bieuler worked with patients with 

schizophrenia of which schizophrenia 

is not associated with autism today. 

Bieuler's word "autism" came from his 

observing the characteristics of isolated 

self-derived from the Greek word autos

meaning self. Some of the characteristics 

of autism include, withdrawing into 

self, obsessiveness over topics, lack of 

communication skills and social skills in 

general. The official name today is autism 

spectrum disorder indicating a variety 

of symptoms that are associated with 

autism. 

Going back to Stephen Wiltshire at 

Queensmill School, when he arrived at 

the school he did not speak. After the 

staff at the school recognized his high 

interest in drawing, they withheld giving 

him drawing materials and paper until 

he attempted to communicate words of 

what he wanted. This tactic worked, and 

he began speaking with his first word 

being, paper. 

He attended the City and Guilds of 

London Art School. His works are 

memory drawings of his favorite subjects, 


city scapes, buildings, and automobiles. 

His drawings are done from memory. 

He has created large murals of many of 

the primary cities of the world. One 

of the largest is a panorama of Tokyo, 

Japan which is 35.8 feet long and was 

completed in seven days after he had a 

helicopter ride over the city. He does not 

use photographs or sketches; his work 

is completed exclusively from memory. 

The details of the most intricate aspects 

of the subjects he draws are phenomenal 

in respect to the amount of detail he can 

reproduce after only a brief viewing. 

Stephen Wiltshire's work is on view 

in many of the locations where he 

completed large murals, as well as 

galleries and private collections. His 

work is available in prints which can 

be found on several web sites featuring 

his name. He has been the subject 

of a number of books including, 

"Floating Cities” (1991) and "Stephen 

Wiltshire's American Dream" (1993). 

He has also been featured in sereral TV 

documentaries, articles and news stories 

such as the ABC News, naming him 

Person of The Week in 2008. Stephen is 

an outstanding example of the abilities 

of persons who may be considered 

disabled but who are actually enabled 

beyond the characteristics of what we 

call "normal" to complete outstanding 

accomplishments.

Fabeyonce “Blessed” 

I'm thankful for being able to wake up every 

morning and do the things that I do. 

It takes a lot when working a full-time job and 

performing 3-4 days. On top of that, of course 

I'm exhausted but this experience is like no 

other. Meeting so many amazing people and 

entertainers working alongside many fabulous 

queens like Morgan McMichales, Delta Work, 

Jazmyn Simone, Ongina and the list goes on. 

What many don't see is what goes on behind 

the stage. You get to know the real person 

behind all the glam. All the hard work they 

put into making themselves a success, days 

and nights working on looks for a number, 

hair, jewelry etc. Then traveling from one city 

to the next or even two to three shows a day, 

it's a work out, let me tell you. I got just the 

smallest taste of it and I love it. But being able 

to be booked and having other amazing girls 

bring you back is a feeling you can't explain. I 

truly feel "BLESSED" this is what I want, and 

this is what I'm doing, and my jumpstart has 

been given to me and I'm taking advantage 

of showing up and letting people know who 

Fabeyonce McMichael's is and what she can 

bring besides being the plus size girl. I'll bring 

you sexy, sassy, nasty, and glamour never 

underestimate a queen who is working hard for

I'm ready to expand myself more and get out 

of town more and see all the new venues I'd 

never been too and bring some Fabeyonce out 

for the children can see her. In these past few 

months I've worked harder than I ever have but 

it's been worth it all and I'm gonna continue to 

work hard and play harder. The time has come 

for me to bloom and stay positive (yes) there 

will be some that won't care much for me, but 

that's ok. I'm not everyone's cup of TEA. 


THE LAST WORD by Greg Pettis 

This morning I am sitting in Chicago at the 

summer meeting of the Democratic National 

Committee. The vast majority of the meeting 

was made up of workshops, trainings and various 

regional or constituency groups. There 

was one private members only meeting to discuss 

rule changes for the 2020 convention. 

Today will be the Public votes on rules, 

Bylaws and resolutions. One of the resolutions 

that stands out for our area is repair and 

maintenance, Transportation, infrastructure 

and identifying it as a matter of national priority. 

Additionally today the Rev Jesse Jackson and 

Congresswoman Maxine Waters are slated to 

speak. Should bring everyone to their feet. 

Last week I listed candidates for city councils 

in the eight cities. I got a few calls from folks 

mentioning someone I missed and quite a few 

attacks on social media because in their minds 

I deliberately left a candidate off. I should 

have said this last week, but I will now. I listed
