Canterbury’s annual arts bonanza boasts over two<br />

hundred events including shows, workshops, talks<br />

Bextor, The Shires) and world-class performers will sit<br />

alongside young, emerging talent from Kent schools.<br />

Deeds and Words Tonbridge is a new<br />

Festival of Women’s Voices celebrating<br />

100 years of women making themselves<br />

heard. From Friday 5 to Sunday<br />

7 <strong>October</strong> at the EM Forster Theatre<br />

in Tonbridge, Lucy Worsley, Helen<br />

Pankhurst and Rosie Duffield, will be<br />

brought together alongside local writers.<br />

There will be debates, workshops,<br />

performances, talks, poetry readings and<br />

an exhibition of suffragette material.<br />

Walkies<br />

On Sunday 14 <strong>October</strong>, Leeds<br />

Castle will be hosting The Big Dog<br />

Walk. Guide dogs return for a 2.5<br />

mile walk around the castle’s upper<br />

parkland. Entry is free, but all dogs are<br />

encouraged to raise £35 to help cover<br />

the cost of a guide dog harness.<br />
