were successful through their misuse of<br />

Slaveholders were/are very selfish and evil<br />
people. They are known for twisting the law.<br />
They would often twist the law, shape<br />
customs and bend traditions in their favor.<br />
When you have the resources to do that, it’s<br />
easy to make-believe that God is on your<br />
side.<br />
