The petition
It’s such a shame how a group of
citizens could come together to try to
remove Cotton Valley’s mayor? This is the
action of sore losers. Deeper than that, these
are those who have been in control of the
town of Cotton Valley for centuries and
can’t stand to let it go. The petition was their
way of trying to gain control. It is amazing
how so many people can come together and
“agree” to do wrong to another human. Yes,
I am referring to the petition. Ninety (90%)
percent of the names on the petition were of
white citizens. That’s not unusual. Most
whites will stick together against Blacks
whether wrong or right.
I recently heard about a man who
spent 30 years in prison (on death row) for a
