10 Aug: Leading adult milk brand Anlene® and its<br />
ambassador Dato’ Sheila Majid jointly calls out to<br />
Malaysians to care for their hearts by watching their 3<br />

and high blood sugar. The call was made at the<br />
launch of Anlene HEART-PLUS, a new milk powder<br />
formulated to care for the heart on the back of worrying<br />
Malaysian health statistics. Anlene Heart-Plus is<br />

National Eye <strong>Health</strong> Awareness<br />
(NEHA) Reinforces the<br />
Importance of Proper Eye Care<br />
among Malaysians<br />
25 July: The Association of Malaysian Optometrists<br />
(AMO), together with the Malaysian Optical Council<br />
(MOC), launched the National Eye <strong>Health</strong> Awareness<br />
(NEHA) campaign to raise awareness on eye health<br />
and to underline the need for Malaysians to have<br />
proper eye examinations and consultations. Supported<br />
by Johnson & Johnson Malaysia (J&J), the NEHA<br />
campaign was officiated by the Malaysian Ministry of<br />
<strong>Health</strong> (MOH).<br />
Lifting the Burden of GERD<br />
20 July: “Oh My GERD” hosted by<br />
NuvaPineA®, a panel of experts came together<br />
to discuss the severity of the GERD epidemic,<br />
to help the public to recognise the signs and<br />
symptoms of GERD and more importantly to<br />
manage the condition successfully. The panel<br />
comprised Dr. Raja Affendi Raja Ali, Consultant<br />
Physician and Gastroenterologist from Universiti<br />
Kebangsaan Malaysia; Dr.Vagif Soultanov, a<br />
Gastroenterologist and Naturopathic Doctor from<br />
Melbourne, and Datin Swanee Teh, Pharmacist<br />
and <strong>Natural</strong> Therapies Advocate. GERD is not a<br />
simple condition to manage. As a naturopathic<br />
doctor as well as a researcher, Dr.Soultanov was<br />
at hand to share the results from a recent clinical<br />
study done on a pine conifer green needle<br />
extract called Bioeffective® A and its effects on<br />
