Ones that have truly blossomed…
A few simple stems.
It’s about quality not quantity.
Many wedding bouquets have slimmed down significantly, and
now simply consist of a small number of long stems. This trend
is easy to carry and even easier on the eye. Extra time and love
must be put into picking just the right flowers to pull off this
look but we definitely think it’s worth it. Not to mention, there
are huge savings to be made when it comes to the cost of your
wedding flowers when you choose to flaunt just a few flowers
over dozens upon dozens.
Wreaths and hoops.
This trend won’t have you going round in circles.
From large wreaths displayed at your ceremony, to floral hoops
held lovingly by your bridesmaids and small wreath-shaped
buttonholes sported by groomsmen, round flower displays
are rolling in to all aspects of the floral arrangements. It’s key
to make sure the flowers are properly attached to the circular
frames, so chat with your florist about how to ensure your
blooms will stay perfectly in place. This trend definitely has us
wondering what shape will be next.
Deep, dark tones.
Your bouquet should be the only thing that’s moody.
Flowers are so often synonymous with light pinks
and ivories, but much darker shades are having their
time in the spotlight, and they’re hugely deserving
of it. These darker hues are obviously a great choice
for autumn and winter weddings, but the contrast
they create against spring and summer weddings
is beautifully dramatic, so we certainly recommend
weaving them into your warm-weather bouquets. If
you’re on the fence about using these darker flowers,
try integrating just a few into your arrangements to
add a bit of depth.
