What really makes these cushions stand out is their<br />
borderless upholstery. The one essential seam has<br />
been fashioned into an upright pleat. This atypical<br />

Internal reclining innovations<br />
Mecam has succeeded in applying the Wall-Away reclining<br />
system to a floating sofa. The mechanism is fully incorporated<br />
into the sofa, which is set on a modern sled<br />
base that is entirely open. The advantages of this kind of<br />
floating construction are well known: it looks more spacious<br />
and modern, and simplifies floor cleaning for a<br />
more hygienic home.<br />
In addition to the Wall-Away system, Mecam has internally<br />
developed a second reclining mechanism. The flat<br />
headrest folds out in phases: first straight upwards, then<br />
forwards. The advantage is that it is unobtrusively integrated<br />
into the sofa.<br />

These two techniques are being introduced in the Cora<br />
and Soft models. The only difference between them is<br />
their seating comfort. As its name implies, the Soft model<br />
has a super-soft seat by reclining sofa standards. Any<br />
