Black steel
Dorothy is based on a 3D, ergonomically modelled shell in laminated
beech. On top of this, the cold foam filling creates a durable,
super-soft seat. The single indented seam in the seat and
back underlines the plump cushioning. For the styling, the palette
comprises 966 colours for the fabric and 15 for the metal frames.
The latest option is the ‘black steel’ stainless steel look. This dark
shade has created a furore in the kitchen appliances world, as
an alternative for the perennial plain stainless steel. The authentic
‘Black Steel’ is roughly polished stainless steel with a very fine,
textured black lacquer. Unic Design approximates this stainless
steel finish in lacquered metal.

Cushion aesthetic
The back, arm and seat have cushions that appear identical. One
is slightly larger, another a little thicker. The raised decorative seam
enhances the cushioned aesthetic. What’s more, the chair can rotate
and tilt.

Classic on modern

NEOSTYLE – GITANO
Gitano is a well-balanced stylistic mix. The
design and comfort of its cushions and
the arms are reliably classic. However its
slim frame and sled base create a more
modern effect. Just above the base, the
voluminous seat cushions are interrupted
by a double, flat decorative seam. This
subtly suggests a slimmer lineation. Backs
can be classically high or a more modern
low; the latter version being equipped with
a moveable head roll. The sled base can
be finished in any RAL colour, from neutral
black to a stainless steel and aluminium
design look. The matching pouffe is set on
an identical base. Gitano combines a rather
classic top with a more modern base.
