bowling remained tight and as the overs ticked by
runs became hard to come by and Beckenham were
unable to get near the Bexley score.
OD Cuaco 39 all out
Bexley CC 42 for 4
In a 35 over game there is opportunity to reach big
team and personal scores in preparation for Under 16
cricket. Some of the Bexley batsmen were looking
forward to that chance however, winning the toss
OD Cuaco elected to bat and reached a paltry 39 all
out having no answer to a concerted Bexley bowling
attack. Anish PATEL (3-7), Ajay BUNGAR (3-13)
and Jonny REGNIER (3-5) allowed no leeway for
the OD Cuaco batsmen. In reply, Dave DIXON (15)
and Jack LAING (12) finished off the game. The
evening finished with a sit don meal of Spaghetti
Bolognese and one of the hottest Chilli Con Carne
ever eaten. Thanks to Cliff Regnier for the supper!!

Old Colfes 87 all out
Bexley CC 91 for 4
Old Colfes won the toss and elected to bat. Their
line up suggested a competitive match but once again
the Bexley bowlers took control despite 41 runs from
their opening bat. Ryan SAUNDERS (2-22) started
well but Dean JEFFERY’s five overs for just 8
runs slowed their batting progress. It was left to
Anish PATEL (5-6 off 3.2 overs) that put this match
to bed. A faultless display of off spin bowling. In
reply Jack CLAY (32) and Aiden GRIGGS (38 not
out) took the total beyond the inning score. With
three wins under their belt the Bexley lads could now
celebrate their Genese Cup victory, which they did
in style soaking anyone that moved. The Old Colfes
lads also joined in the fun. Another sit down dinner

Under 15B’s
Games on Sunday 8th July, Gravesend and Sunday
15th July, Bexleyheath, both fell victim to the
appalling rain showers. Despite this the Under 15b’s
remained in second spot in the Under 15 Division 3
with one game to play against Horton Kirby CC. A
sound in win this game would have seen them piling
on the pressure on Chislehurst and West Kent in top
spot.
Unfortunately it was not to be with Horton Kirby
conceding to Bexley. 14 points was not enough
and those two cancelled games probably ended any
chance they had of winning their league. Despite all
of this it has been a season of great improvement in
the 15b’s and with George Wells as their lead coach
a lot of cricket knowledge has been gained this
