The report has sparked public outrage and disillusionment with both<br />
the bank and many politicians.<br />
As the web of deceit is slowly removed from around VBS, no doubt more<br />
shocking stories will come to light in the months ahead. It is also possible<br />
that soon arrests and legal action will begin, although it is very uncommon<br />
for bankers to be arrested.<br />
In the wake of the 2008 global economic collapse, where many bankers<br />
from institutions across the globe were implicated in all sorts of dodgy and<br />
illegal shenanigans which costs hundreds of thousands of consumers their<br />
livelihoods and pensions and plunged the world economy into freefall,<br />
only one high profile individual was ever arrested.
